Yup, I think you need to do all your Dorie instructions in Haiku form. Roasting would have been better, but I still enjoyed these π
Very delicious looking, Trevor! Lovely photos! I really enjoyed the ease of this dish, and yet so delicious! Roasting is always my preferred method for veggies, but this was good!
Happy Groundhogs Day!!
Congrats on being on time. Sounds like you and I were on the same page with this recipe, good, but not as good as roasted.
Yay! A ffwD on Friday! Kudos to you!
I don’t think I’ve ever read a haiku recipe… very to the point. Veggies look great but I am a roaster Dorie’s fancy techniques aren’t changing me.
Love the haiku recipe:) Added a smile to my day. The dish looks delicious and you have some great pictures. Have a great weekend.
Haiku yet again
Inside tin foil Papillote
Love your rustic veg

GREG is ME. But you knew that. Why does Blogger hate my icon so? GREG
Roasted is the best
En papillote good as well
Love those veggie so.
New technique you used
To write recipe today
Very clever, sir!
You should do a book of recipe haikus! My favorite part of your posts.
I prefer roasted,
but this way was worth a try.
Veggies: good for you.
Definitely good, but, yeah, roasted is better. Still, anything this easy is good in my book. Well done, sir!
Trevor, the picture of your vegetables is really terrific – love the photography, always! The combination of ingredients in this recipe seems to have been a winner for most Doristas, roasted or “en papillote”.
I liked the method but not the combination. Thanks for the reminder to enter! Have a great weekend – it actually looks like winter in SoCal today – what’s up with that?
Okay, you’ve done it!
Topped yourself in haiku form,
Recipe in verse.
Great haiku as always Trevor! That book looks yummy!
I love cooking with Dorie but that amazing savory pie book has me distracted π Shaved asparagus galette ? Yes. PLEASE π And while I barely got this week’s recipe knocked out…you managed a haiku too. Extra credit points ~
Very cute, Trevor! I agree that it is hard to beat roasted vegetables though.
I just gave brussel sprouts to my dad (drat). I love them and this looks like a comfort Sunday side dish – ala Dorie. Looks scrumptious! I have decided not to tweet this contest entry, but have opted to scribble it on the bathroom stall, which according to Google, attracts interested parties.
I am anxious to roll back to your Galette but will comment here first. I enjoyed this, nice flavor, and easily made. But, like you, I prefer my veggies roasted and carmelized. Yes, I must say, Trevor, that it is very rude that I sometimes make friends and family wait for pictures. I have to work on that. We did almost give Peter a heart attack and he is not a young man.
If I did not want to cook outdoors I would have roasted these veges. Beautifully done. I’m getting some ideas and with use those ideas and also roast next time.
Ha! I think we should always give directions in haiku form!
I see you also some additional veggies to roast. They were great both ways.
Oooh, I am loving that golden galette – and the veges look good too.
I’m impressed you even wrote the recipe in Haiku! Your photos are lovely!
